Terra Farma is a game about space farming that combines Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and a 2D screen with two gamepads.
We designed the mechanics and gameplay from the technology outward. The concept was about getting the devices to communicate with one another, and seeing what effect this would create in a loud, party atmosphere.
My role included game concepting and design, making the environment and props, assembling and animating the scene in Unity, and some fill-in C-sharp scripting, since most of Engineering team was part-time on the project.
After the party, we released the game on itch.io for free. We soon were featured on itch’s homepage for a few days, and approached by Arcade11 to let them demo Terra Farma alongside some very well known indies like Firewatch.
